Another example of design inspired by a mythical creature, phoenix the fire bird.

‘Ash’ refers to two things here. The first is the direct association based on the gray materials and lightweight organic forms, as if the ash was floating around, carried by the wind.  The second is  physical and logical connection to the Phoenix bedroom – ‘rising from the ashes’.

When a day of hard work ends, the couple owning this apartment is ‘reduced to ashes’ and they have a pleasent dinner here. After that, they proceed to the bedroom where they are reborn.

The key element of the dining set is the ash-like combination of plastic and silicon with steel reinforcement, made by combining the layers of those materials, so that the end result is stable and carries heavy loads, yet looks light and transparent.
